weekend... "Yo im sure by now you know that little Jay - R Took the
grom comp championship in Malaysia right?" Little Jay-R Esquivel of
La Union, little brother of Poks has heeded our prayers and won his
very first international comp during the Occy Grom Comp in Malaysia
no less. So Big ups to Jay-R and his coach out there Luke Landrigan
for bringing home the bacon!!! No official results yet posted on the
Billabong site, but it will be on there soon. For now check out these

brother of Pok's are currently in Malaysia right now chillin with the
legend Mark "OCCY" Occhilupo in his specialized grommet competition.
The little known surf town of Cherating on the South China Sea coast
of Malaysia will play host to its first ever Billabong Occy Grom Comp
in January of 2010. Lets all wish all the little grommets the best of
luck and pray that Jay-R gets to bring home some hardware or at least
his first drink with Occy on his very first comp let alone trip out of
the country!!!

Just got back from DECA wakepark

My first exposure to the DECA wakepark in
Davao just over the past couple of days has definitely left a lasting
and positive impression on me. Although not 100% finished yet, it has
the potential to be one of the best cable parks in Asia and even perhaps
the world. The cable is super tight, the obstacles they are envisioning
will surely make any wakeboarder happy, and simply having flat water with
the view of the majestic Mt. Apo right behind it, ughhhhh!!! it a sight not
soon to be forgotten. Would like to thank again the whole DECA crew and their
budding wakeboard scene down south for their southern hospitality, looking
forward to getting back and ride the cable hard some more. So if yall want
more info on the newest cable park in Asia, stay tuned to the site for photos
and videos, that will surely wet your appetite to get your shred on!

Lago Friendship Day

Last Sunday, Dec 13 2009, the Lago De Oro
Friendship games happened in no other place but Lago De Oro! Yiiww!
it was a day dedicated to get together as a wake community and ride
for fun! of course there was a competition. we saw many riders move up
from the beginners division to the mens open and we also saw many new
faces in the competition scene! hopefully we get to see them compete
consistently throughout 2010! there was also a BBQ lunch sponsored by
Lago! Thank you so much! :) nom nom nom!! :D the food was great!
the open mens division was insane! people were throwing down all
their hammers. We got stylish poked out glides with massive air,
whirlybirds, grabbed 540s, stylish huge grabbed 3s, and massive
rolls and flips! for the girls division we had attempted
360s off the kicker by Roxy, a nice 360 on the tabletop, and nice
clean grabs by nicole hudson! for my personal favorite cuz
everyone was throwin down all they got we had the Wakeskate division
we saw big spins by moe and chad, nice poked out nose grab by brian
"grabe" modrigo, n nice clean shuvs by frank and was also able to kiss
the hyperlite snail rail. BUT BUT BUT WAIT! there's more! the most
intense and most competitive division would absolutely by the
kneeboard division! this is a new division that hopefully
would stay!! we saw 720s on the table top, surface 3s,
massive airs on the kicker to a submarine dive into the
waters of Lago! At the end of the day, it was fun! :) we all got
together and had a merry time! booya! see you in the water!!

When there are no waves sizable enough for some
good surfing action then the winch gets taken out. The Stoked Inc team
riders Luke Landrigan, Poks Esquivel and C-lo dela Torre tried hard
to put on a show despite timing difficulties with the waves and the
winch pull. Watch out for videos soon of the boys along with natural
big wave surfers Pit pit Alipayo and Wilmar getting pulled silly.
Also a big belated happy birthday to Noelle and Nicola, and thanks
for the kick-ass party last night. It was absolutely rodonkulous.

Lifeness is pretty chill at the moment. Especially for the participants
of the 3rd Annual Billabong Grom Comp in La Union, who at this very moment
at exactly 10:24am, are playing with a carefree demeanor that every comp
should be like. So full of energy despite a lull in mother natures provisions.
Well we have nothing else to do but wait, but when the waves pick up, rest assure

Wurrup boys and girls! Last Nov 18
we had our Slippin n Kickin Awarding and after party in Handle Bar.
It was definitely awesome. All the riders, spectators, supporters,
the cable guys from Lago De Oro+Mike Hudson (GM of Lago De Oro), and
the Fox Crew got together for hella of a party! Yiiw! Awards were given
out to the winners of SNK 3 and the overall champs of the SNK series.
Session Road played. Eggs were thrown. Gran Matadors were chugged.

SNK SERIES AFTER PARTY

The SNK series finale was sick!! Everyone busted out their ammo
in all obstacles. With Gap 3s, steeeezed out lipslides, nosepress'
a hugeass 313, massive 360s, a whirlybird, 720s,a tootsie roll,
and even a fat chance.
My favorite division of all was the open wakeskate. AWWWEESOME!!!
Everyone was out for blood!!! Big shuvs, 360 shuvs, oles, switch toe
spins!WAAAAHH!! It was so hard to judge everyone!!! ANYWAY,I wanna
say thank you to everyone who made this event possible.

comp venue. The likes of Aye, Daniel G., Alex B.L., Aum and Freddy
are ready to do battle for the Asian Championships in Bicol.
Weather is much better now than yesterday, and we are all
hoping this carries through till the weekend. We miss our homie
JVT and wish him a speedy recovery. Time 12:15nn

SM Naga and checked out the new Stokedinc store

the weekend at Mall of Asia music hall was just rodonkulous and
absolutely nuts. Props to all the participants and winners, as

wake weekend in Lago De Oro, but due to the devastation Ondoy has brought
to our fellow countrymen, we here at StokedInc have decided that our time
would be much better spent helping those who are still in dire need of
assistance. So lets all do our part in uniting as one since the
Government obviously needs a whole lof of help in this relief effort
business. Our stores will soon be accepting donations of any kind
that will in-turn be re-distributed to the Red Cross. If you for
whatever reason cannot donate goods then please donate your time
and effort. We all have a role to play.

is just around the corner and i personally cant wait for the action to hit
the Lake of Gold come October 3, 2009. The competition is gonna be
absolute bonkers, with riders learning new moves and some riders
bowing out, the point system format is gonna determine who is the
best obstacle slayer in the land. We're also looking forward to throwing
a bitching party to celebrate the award ceremonies, which will be held in
Handle Bar Makati Oct 7, 2009, with some secret video premiers, sick musical
performances, booze, funky dancing, and of course the unveiling
of the results of the Slippin n' Kicking Three is the Magic Number
series. So invite your friends, family, church group and whoever

Wakefest, Billabong new Asia Wake Team Member JP Bomb
has flown to Kaohsiung, Taiwan to participate at the
2009 World Games Wakeboard Men Category and end up
taking home a Bronze Medal.
Our new Thai rider, Bomb, is one of the fastest rising
star in the global wakeboard scene. His results in 2008
includes overall No. 6 in the WWA World Series, JWBA
Japan World Series and Asian Wakeboard Pro Tour Champion
and he has also been awarded the 2nd Runner Up
"Rookie of the Year" in the 2008 Wakeboard Rider Choice
Awards. Bomb's upcoming major competitions include
IWSF Wakeboard World Championship in Korea/Dubai/China
and the Australia Pro Tour of Wakeboarding.

Boom the StokedInc Wake team
continues its dominance at the 5th Annual Lago De Oro
Perpetual Cup. Fresh of some wins from the Nationals
the StokedInc wake team was happy to be back home in
the Lake Of Gold to rip it up in front of a sizable
Manila crowd that gathered around its banks. Even with
a new comp format, JVT, Sam, Jaja and C-lo still managed to
adapt and come home with impressive wins. JV Tanjanco
takes home 1st runner up in the Open mens Wakeboard
division by pulling the only 313 seen during the
competition and. Still destroying anything in her path
Sam Bermudez takes home convincingly the Championship
crown in the Open Womens Division with a solid run of
signature massive inverts and stylish jibbing through
out the Lago De Oro park obstacles. Jemir "Jaja" Blanco
after a two year hiatus from competitions returns in fine
form taking 1st Runner Up in the wakeskate division and
proving that he still has what it takes. And Finally halfbreed
C-lo Dela Torre makes history by securing the championship
for both Open Mens Wakeboard and Wakeskate, the first time
its ever been done in the Philippines let alone during a Lago
De Oro Perpetual Cup competition. The whole team would like
to thank the StokedInc Familia for the non-stop support, Mike
Hudson Head of Operations at Lago De oro, Elmer Relente event
organizer and all the riders and sponsors involved with this

Its comp Season "Yikes"

Competition season is at hand and the
exciting part is that they are all mostly going to be here in
the Philippines. Here they are in order:
-First off will be the 2nd leg of the Slippin and Kicking
Grassroot series comp in Lago De Oro come May 23. After
an crazy first leg battle, riders will be riding with
more fervor as to improve their positions in the rankings
so that a legitimate, obstacle king and queen can be
crowned in the last leg on Oct.
-Second would be the recently announced CWC Nationals
which will be help May29-30, and with the influx of so
many new riders, veterans will be shaking in their boots
and rookies will be hungry to dethrone old forces in the
local wake game
-Third would be the 5th Annual Lago De Oro Perpetual cup
which has been the longest running competition in the
Philippines islands, and One year memberships are at stake.
So let the butterflies in the stomach make you sick to the
bone, and let the training begin!!!!!!

The Whirly dilemma

People at the cable park have been getting
really hurt trying the Whirlybird, a tantrum based trick
with an ole 360 added to it, cant imagine it? Dont worry
neither can I, but its definitely a hard trick to master.
So far guys like Jerome, JV, and JC have been getting beat
worse than a frat initiation, trying to conquer this move.
These guys are totally breaking themselves off with this one
All i want to say is good luck boys, and keep the happy
thoughts alive, as well your brain cells.

Only 4 days left

In approximately 96 hours and then some All
Wake Long is gonna be unleashed in the tranquil summer waters
of the Philippines. Just some updates for the people, who will
be joining us throughout these 5 days of liquid mayhem.
First off, we finally have an official venue for the boat
clinic and demo with the pro's in talisay, taal lake, its
going to be at Club Balai Isabel, we have a map posted up on
the news page of the site, so check it out. There's also a
link to their Multiply site, so you can check it out
yourselves through the web. Me and JV checked it out
Saturday morning and we are pumped on the venue, this
place is dope, without a doubt, we met with the owners
and they are equally as excited to get this whole thing
started. They have possibly the best lakeside spot in the
whole lake, and the view is pimp, literally. So i suggest you
check out the site, prepare your sick leaves for work, and
get more of your friends to come, cus this place is gonna be
off the hook come Monday. Ride all day, and then a BBQ in the
evening is how every wake trip should be like. In case yall
wana stay over, you need to contact us immediately, all
participants are entitled to 20% off on the lodging, and the
prices are damn good. So do what you must. Pick right.
Because you will not regret this trip. Pwamisss.
